Beginning her career in the 1950s performing with her family Motown group The Pips, Gladys Knight has gone on to record more than 40 albums and has enjoyed numerous Number Ones in the pop, gospel, R&B and contemporary charts.

Throughout her career, Knight has released a stunning selection of hits such as ‘Midnight Train to Georgia’, which remains one of Motown’s most renowned records and was honoured as one of ‘The Greatest Songs Of All Time’ by Rolling Stone.

Other hit singles include ‘Licence To Kill’ (the official theme song for the James Bond movie of the same name), ‘Help Me Make It Through The Night’, ‘The Way We Were’, ‘Baby Don’t Change Your Mind’ and ‘You’re The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me’, all of which has firmly established Knight’s reputation as a music icon.

After this stellar career, Knight decided to hang up her microphone, embarking on one final ‘Farewell tour. She will be joined by special guest Mica Millar, a fast-rising soul star who last year picked up Jazz FM’s Soul Act of The Year and has previously supported legendary acts like Lionel Richie.

Following the sell-out success of Gladys Knight’s upcoming Farewell Tour - that will see the singer drop by venues in Glasgow, Birmingham, London, Swansea, Bournemouth, Nottingham and Southend – she has announced three extra dates in Southend, Eastbourne and Bristol.
