Long-running cider and music festival is back in the Mendips this summer
Posted on: 03 Apr 2023Taking place just outside Bristol, OutCider Festival is a no-nonsense weekend that celebrates real cider and alternative music the way it should be celebrated.
OutCider Festival runs at Fernhill Farm from Thursday 3 until Sunday 6 August 2023.
Now in its tenth year, this small but punchy festival boasts two alternating festivals and nearly 40 live acts including Saturday night headliners Dub Pistols as well as other exciting artists such as Bar Stool Preachers, Black Water County, The Scribes, Sean McGowan, The Hawkmen and Skimmity Hitchers.

An old-school festival to its core, OutCider Festival has four core principles: “No tribute bands. No X-Factor. No Carling Lager. No t*****s!” With a lush and spacious camping field that welcomes live-in vehicles as well as an eclectic, energetic and underground music programme, this is a summer jamboree not to be missed.
As ever, festival organisers have planned an event bursting at the seams with incredible music talent. The likes of dub/big beat favourites Dub Pistols, South-West folk-rock outfit Black Water County, Essex boys PET NEEDS, singer-songwriter Seán McGowan and West Country weirdos The Skimmity Hitchers will play alongside a host of other top acts.
It’s not just an incredible music lineup that attendees can look forward to, there will also be eccentric attractions such as cider-obics, an alternative sports day, a campfire and tuk tuk safari, with plenty of other surprises popping up throughout the weekend.
The festival has gained a reputation over the years for its fun, friendly and inclusive atmosphere with plenty returning every year, becoming part of the OutCider family – whether you like cider or not.
Please note that this is an over-18s event and no dogs or glass is allowed on site. Tent camping is free and live-in vehicles are welcome for an extra charge.
