Where to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Bristol this year

Posted on: 15 Mar 2018

Your favourite Irish holiday is back, and not a minute too soon. Whether you're of Irish descent or not, everybody loves a party on St. Patrick's Day, and there's no shortage of things to do in Bristol this year. From established Irish pubs like Seamus O'Donnell's and Molloy's to one-off themed events at venues like The Fleece and SWX, there's no excuse not to get out this Saturday 17th March and celebrate your Irish heritage (or lack of it) with a few pints of Guinness and a sing-song.

Seamus O'Donnell's is a hub for all things Irish in Bristol.

Seamus O'Donnell's, City Centre

Where better to celebrate St. Patrick's Day than the literal and figurative centre of all things Irish in the city of Bristol, Seamus O'Donnell's? Located near St. Nick's Market, right in the centre of town, the bar is one of the best in the area and will be showing the all-important Six Nations fixture between England and Ireland at 2pm. Following that, you can celebrate or commiserate (depending on where your loyalties lie) with a great selection of drinks and snacks before enjoying live music in the evening. Check out our dedicated Seamus O'Donnell's St. Patrick's Day feature here for more information.

Molloy's, City Centre

Another city centre establishment, Molloy's is an institution for Bristol's Irish contingent, and a must for all St. Paddy's Day party-goers looking to get a taste of the Emerald Isle. Serving their classic array of fantastic food and drinks, and of course stocked up to the rafters with Guinness, Molloy's on Baldwin Street are all set to welcome you into one of the best atmospheres in the city. ALL THREE Six Nations games are also set to be televised on Saturday - what more could you ask for?

Steam & Shebeen, Clifton

Steam and Shebeen in Clifton will be showing all of Saturday's Six Nations matchups.

Steam Bristol are inviting any and all rugby fans to their Clifton establishment this weekend, for a showcase of sport coinciding with this year's St. Patrick's Day! From 12.30pm, Steam, near Clifton Down Station, will be showing Italy v Scotland, the all-important England v Ireland which could see Ireland secure their grand slam, and Wales v France at 5pm. While you're there, why not try one of Steam's famed burger combinations - supplied by the Cornish Burger Company, they're among the best in the city!

Bristol Spirit, Whitehall

Bristol Spirit are now taking bookings for their St. Patrick's Day celebrations - an all-day shindig with themed cocktails served throughout (we recommend an Irish Coffee), snacks and appetisers served up by Creative Sliders, and all three Six Nations games on the TV screens! The bar recommend booking ahead for this one in anticipation of a very busy day celebrating all things Irish! Contact them today on
