Celebrate St Patrick's Day 2018 at Seamus O'Donnells on Saturday 17th March

Posted on: 13 Mar 2018

It's finally here. St. Patrick's Day 2018 is on the horizon, so make sure you're well rested and properly hydrated before Saturday rolls around - it's set to be a big one. Like many people, you may have been struggling to decide whether you want to catch some live music to celebrate, or watch the all-important England v Ireland game. Music? Or the rugby? It's a real conundrum, but worry not - Seamus O’Donnells have got you covered. They’re doing both!

Doors are set to open at 11am on the morning of Saturday 17th March with the first band, The Bogtrotters, playing from 12pm until 2pm. Following that, the band will make way and the TV volume will be cranked up for the huge fixture between England and Ireland, with Ireland's Grand Slam hopes on the line at Twickenham.

Following the game, regardless of whether you're drinking in celebration or commiseration, there's a party to be had at Seamus O'Donnells. Those in attendance can enjoy even more live music from 5pm till 7pm from The Woodchucks, followed by Irish contingent The Lilting Banshees from 7pm till 10pm. Finally, from 10.15 until 1.30am, the good times will continue in full flow courtesy of O'Donnell's house band, The Ceili.

Of course, spending all day at the pub can give a person an almighty apetite, but thankfully O'Donnell's has thought of that, too. The bar will be serving delicious Steak & Guinness pies throughout the day at just £5 a time, accompanied by your favourite drinks at great prices - what more could you ask for?

Of course it wouldn't be St. Patrick's Day without an array of ridiculous hats, so expect a load of Guinness headwear and O'Donnell's bands given away on the day, with celebrations running right through to the early hours of Sunday.
