Review: The Book of Mormon at The Bristol Hippodrome - 2025
Posted on: 23 Oct 2025The Book of Mormon has returned to The Bristol Hippodrome with a 3 week run through until 8 November 2025 and once again had the crowd on their feet for a standing ovation at the end of the show.

If you are looking for a lighthearted take on religion and aren’t easily offended then this is definitely the show for you. No stone was left unturned with all demographics of society open for some very edgy content and jokes. Without going into too much detail think of the chaps that knock on your door praising the lord and move them to a village in Uganda that’s overtaken by AIDS, poverty and warlords and watch them convince the locals that their Mormon book can make everything better.
A few special mentions with Nyah Nish as Nabulungi stealing the show for me from the cast of 22 with a commanding singing voice throughout, however it’s really the set and lighting team of Scott Park and Brian Macdevitt that brought The Bristol Hippodrome stage to life. Clever placement of props made you forget that the village set was still in the background as they moved from scene to scene and as always the lighting design was on point.

The final scene with all of the cast involved was great to see (including Darth Vader) and as the audience stood for a raptourous applause those with their Uganda flags finally got to give them a wave – I’m sure there’ll be a lot more over the next few weeks.
There were only a handful of seats left last night and if you are looking to get into one of the prime time weekend performances you’d better order quick. Pretty good availability still for some of the midweek shows though – Get Tickets Here.
Running time is 2 hours 20 minutes including 15 minute interval.
