With the internet barely invented, the 90s brought us some of the greatest tunes of all time, from the Shamen to The Prodigy, Snap! To Underworld, JX to Ultra Nate and on and on and on – you’ll find them all and much more at Dance Sounds of the 90s: The Live Tour with Vernon Kay.
Girls wore combats and pigtails thinking they were in All Saints, or glitzy club dresses and long socks. Guys rocked Nike Shox and went from baggy rave trousers to skinny jeans in just a few years. As ever, girls won the fashion battle hands down.
Vernon hosts the iconic show on BBC Radio 2 and he’s buzzing to escape the shackles of the studio for some touring mischief, so dig out those classic rave outfits and prepare for lift off.
Like Lisa Moorish sang, he’s Mr Friday Night, and there’s Nothing He Won’t Do to deliver the absolute best night out. He KNOWS Rhythm Is A Dancer so Open Your Mind and don’t dress like a Swamp Thing.
Forget about the family telly show guy, this is night out Vernon who will be your guise through the ultimate 90s playlist – think big Italo piano hooks, glorious trance riffs, massive singalong vocals and music so good your hands will be in the air all night long.
The 90s were of course the very best era for dance sounds so stand by for the ultimate nostalgia night coming to Bristol's O2 Academy on Friday 29 November 2024. Get your tickets here.
