Best known as the bass player and co-founder of legendary groups Joy Division and New Order, Peter Hook was born in in Salford in 1956. Hook’s idiosyncratic bass lines have left an unparalleled mark on music, from post-punk and new wave, to dance, ranging from the 70s and 80s to today.

Following his departure from New Order in the early 00s, Hooky (as he’s known to his friends) went on to form Peter Hook & The Light, a quintet that keeps breathing new life into the greatest as well as the underappreciated works of Joy Division and New Order – becoming an iconic band in the process.

On Peter Hook & The Light's upcoming tour, the band will be playing New Order’s acclaimed Get Ready album in full. Released in 2001, the band’s seventh record saw them put tensions to one side to put out their finest guitar-oriented effort yet after eight years of no new material.

The show will also see Hooky and co perform deep cuts from both New Order and Joy Division and there are plenty to choose from. Expect such alternative hits as ‘Blue Monday, ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’, ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’, ‘Disorder’ and more.

Peter Hook & The Light will play Bristol’s Marble Factory on Thursday 17 April 2025 with general sale tickets on sale at 10 AM this Friday 13 September 2024 – secure yours HERE.
