Breast Cancer Now’s Wear It Pink returns in October

Posted on: 29 Aug 2024

One of the UK’s biggest and brightest fundraising events, thousands support Breast Cancer Now each year by dressing in their finest pink clothes or wackiest costumes.

Wear It Pink will take place on Friday 18 October 2024, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The massive fundraiser effort helps the charity fund Breast Cancer Now’s world-class research and life-changing support. This year’s edition marks the 23rd year of Wear It Pink, which has raised more than £41 million as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month since it began in 2001.

Every 10 minutes, someone in the UK hears the words “you have breast cancer”. It’s the most common cancer in women in the UK and cases have risen by 24% in the last 30 years. More people are affected by breast cancer than ever before, and they need Breast Cancer Now’s support.

Breast Cancer Now is a charity that was formed in 2015, combining the power of research and support. With world-class researchers working in labs all over the UK and Ireland, they aim to create a world where the words “breast cancer” aren’t met with fear.

As well as building a brighter future for all those affected by breast cancer, the charity also supports the 600,000 plus people who are living with or beyond the disease today. Their helpline (0808 800 6000), health information and support services is there to support those struggling every step of the way.

Every pound that you raise by wearing it pink could help fund life-saving research breakthroughs or give someone information they can rely on when they need it most. It could also help drive forward Breast Cancer Now’s vital campaigning, to make sure everyone living with breast cancer gets the best possible treatment and care.

On Friday 18 October, wear pink, raise money, and help fund life-changing breast cancer research and support. Sign up today HERE.
