The Britpop legends have today announced an eagerly anticipated reunion following a 16-year split which came about after a notorious festival bust-up. While Bristol still lacks a venue the right size to host an event of this size, Oasis will be playing just over the bridge in Cardiff – and there is even speculation of a Glastonbury appearance!
Tickets for these monumental live shows go on sale at 9 AM this Saturday 31 August 2024.

Oasis shot to stardom in 1994, instantly becoming one of Britain’s most popular bands, sending shockwaves through the country. Led by guitarist/songwriter Noel Gallagher, alongside his brother and vocalist Liam, the Mancunian outfit adopted a swaggering brand of rock that blended ‘Beatlesque’ melodies and Liam’s sneering vocals.
Having released such mega-hits as ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’, ‘Champagne Supernova’, ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’, ‘Live Forever’ and ‘Stand By Me’, Oasis broke up in 2009 after a characteristically heated bust-up with tensions remaining ever since despite numerous comeback rumours.
However, last week the brothers began posting various cryptic social media posts, sparking rumours of a long-awaited reunion which was officially confirmed today with 14 UK and Ireland dates with shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
Due to the timing of this tour, there have been rumours of a Glastonbury headline set, however, the band’s statement “these dates will be the band’s exclusive European appearances” appears to rule this out. Oasis have also confirmed that they have no plans to record any new music.
