Forwards Festival announce Thursday collaboration with Ravers 2 Runners

Posted on: 12 Aug 2024

The cutting-edge Bristol music festival is collaborating with the ‘ravers that run’ to bring the first ever 5km fun run for Big Team CIC.

Ravers 2 Runners X Forwards’ Fundraising Festival Run will take place at The Downs on Thursday 29 August 2024.

Join Forwards for the debut fundraising run, a collaboration with Bristol’s Team Love to raise funds for Big Team CIC. Those wanting to take part will not need a festival ticket to join the event, but there is a £10 entry fee (or ‘pay what you can’) with all proceeds going to the charity. What better way to prepare for a weekend of live music?

Register for a bib now HERE.

Runners can expect a stunning and flat 5km(ish) route of the Clifton Downs, beginning and ending in the Forwards Festival site. You’ll be able to enjoy a free cold drink at the end of the run and experience a sneak peek at the Forwards setup before all the punters descend that weekend.

The event is raising money for Big Team CIC, who actively diversify the festival industry, creating opportunities for groups that are under-represented in the sector, and helping them to forge a path by working with employers to develop inclusive festival environments – forging meaningful change in the live event sector.

The timings that you should know include registration between 6.30 PM and 7 PM, briefing and warm up between 7 PM and 7.10 PM, and then the run begins at 7.15 PM, with a cool down at 8 PM. Ravers 2 Runners will be selling merch at the registration table.

Forwards Festival runs at The Downs on Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September with such massive names as LCD Soundsystem, Loyle Carner, Four Tet, Underworld and The Jesus and Mary Chain playing sets. Tickets are still available, secure yours HERE.
