Open between 1982 and 1997, The Hacienda was pivotal in shaping UK dance music culture. Popularising movements such as acid house and rave, the nightclub fostered the rise of DJ culture and electronic dance music. Along with the synonymous label Factory Records, the club became a symbol of the ‘Madchester’ scene.
This popular event series truly taps into the spirit of The Hacienda, bringing together a dynamic lineup of the very best DJs around. The Bristol edition will welcome New York house mainstay Todd Terry, Chicago house legend Marshall Jefferson, Hacienda veteran and rave scene pioneer Graeme Park and dance legend Greg Wilson.
The event is brought to Bristol as part of In:Motion, the South West’s most iconic club series, held across six months in some of Bristol’s greatest venues. Dance music lovers can also look forward to sets from the likes of BLK., Interplanetary Criminal, Skream and Goldie.
As well as Motion, FAC51 The Hacienda have massive shows planned for Lichfield Beacon (Hacienda Classical), Wollaton Hall in Nottingham, Malta (as part of Liam Gallagher Festival) and The Warehouse Project in Manchester.
