Singer-songwriter Beabadoobee is an artist celebrated the world over for her delicately sung confessions and guitars that pack a wallop. She first emerged in 2017 with ‘Coffee’ - the first song she ever wrote - and instantly won over a dedicated fanbase.
Her intimate, lo-fi sound was reminiscent of her favourite indie songwriters like Elliott Smith and Kimya Dawson as well as bedroom pop contemporaries such as Clairo. By 2019, however, she'd stepped out of the bedroom with her Space Cadet EP, a homage to 90s acts Sonic Youth and Pavement – hence the track; I Wanna Be Stephen Malkmus’.
Even as she cranked up the volume, Beabadoobee held on to her signature frank yet vulnerable outlook on her 2020 debut album, Fake It Flowers, and 2022's Beatopia, which expanded her horizons, incorporating elements of folk, Latin, and psych-rock.
Beabadoobee’s original and arresting brand of indie pop has seen her reach the UK Top 40 with her 2023 single ‘Glue’ and collaborated with Laufey for the song ‘A Night to Remember’ before announcing her forthcoming album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves.
In addition to Bristol, Beabadoobee’s upcoming tour will see her play shows in Glasgow, Sheffield, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Brighton and London with support from MOMMA. Find out more from the singer’s website.
Beabadoobee will play Bristol Beacon’s Beacon Hall on Wednesday 20 November 2024 with tickets on sale at 10 AM on Friday 21 June 2024 – secure tickets HERE.
