Posted on: 10 Jun 2024

Missed out on tickets for the hilarious and inimitable Katherine Ryan’s visit to the Beacon this November? Good news: you’ve got a second chance. Katherine Ryan will be making a hugely welcome return to stages throughout the UK and Europe later this year with a fresh live show, Battleaxe.

Star of UKTV’s immensely popular new series Parental Guidance as well as the brand new Comedy Central gameshow Out of Order with Rosie Jones and Judi Love, Ryan is a comedian, writer, presenter, and actress right at the top of her game.

Her previously announced dates for the show, Saturday 16 November and Saturday 30th November, proved to be pretty popular – the former is already sold out (5 months before the show is set to take place) and the latter is already on limited availability.

Fans of the Canadian comedian may have find themselves disappointed as the tickets were snapped up, but now they’ve got a second chance: The new dates added to Katherine Ryan’s tour will see her return to the Beacon next year, Saturday 7 June, to perform Battleaxe once again.

Born and raised in Canada, after cutting her teeth at various open mic nights, Katherine Ryan first delved into the world of TV in the mid-2000s on the Canadian music review show, Video on Trial. After moving, Ryan began making waves on UK TV with Channel 4 shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats – going on to becoming a show regular – and the sitcom, Campus.

Today, Ryan is one of the UK’s most prominent onscreen comedians, the creator and star of Netflix smash hit The Duchess along with two global Netflix specials: In Trouble and Glitter Room in addition to 2022’s Missus on Sky/Now TV.

Ryan has also hosted Backstage With Katherine Ryan, starred in Sky’s Romantic Getaway with Romesh Ranganathan, made numerous appearances on Big Fat Quiz of the Year, been the subject of a Louis Theroux Interviews… on the BBC and much more. So, grab your tickets now and get ready to enter your Battleaxe era!
