Exciting new cultural space to open at former site of Propyard
Posted on: 05 Jun 2024Celebrated cultural curators, AMAAD are set to take over as operators of 25,000 square foot St Philips warehouse this summer.
Dubbed ‘Prospect’, the venue will be located at 45 Feeder Road, St Philips, Bristol.

Programming across Prospect’s first year will celebrate a cross-section of entertainment with comedy, sport, pop-up food, drink and fashion markets taking over the venue throughout 2024 and beyond.
The venue’s music series will see AMAAD partnering up with local club promoters such as Team Love, The Blast and Dance Corp in addition to touring artists to bring a diverse range of sounds to the space. Expect a vibrant mix of everything from jazz and country to house, DnB and techno.
Formerly Propyard, the space is currently undergoing significant investment. Alongside new cloakroom and washroom facilities, visitors can expect artisan food and drink from local suppliers such as St Philipneighbours Lost and Grounded.
A standout feature of the new space will be its state-of-the-art sound design which has been developed with world-class audio manufacturers, L-Acoustics. The cutting-edge system will elevate the live experience at the venue while minimising external impact on the neighbourhood.
Paul Jack and Will Harold (AMAAD founders) have said: “We can’t wait to get the doors open and welcome Bristol to our new home. It’s such an incredible space with so much opportunity in a city buzzing with talent and creativity.
“We have worked for many years with Bristol institutions like Team Love, and we’re collaborating with a network of local businesses and communities to create a venue that will serve Bristol’s cultural community and become a hub of culture within the wider development of Temple Quarter and St Philips Marsh.”
