A US comedy heavyweight has announced a UK exclusive show in Bristol

Multi-award-winning, widely lauded comedian, actor, writer, and producer Jim Gaffigan has today announced a stand-alone UK show filled with exciting new material.

 

Jim Gaffigan’s ‘Barely Alive Tour’ will drop by Bristol Beacon’s Beacon Hall on Thursday 10 October 2024.

 

With six Grammy-nominated stand-up specials to his name, three Emmy-winning top touring performances, his own television show and two New York Times best-sellers, Jim Gaffigan is a certified comedy heavyweight. Illinois native Jim Gaffigan is known all over the world for his unique approach to his craft, with a brand of humour that largely revolves around his observations on everyday life, covering such quotidian topics as fatherhood, laziness, food and religion.

 

Gaffigan has been listed amongst the Top Ten Comedians in the world by Forbes and, back in 2021, he released his acclaimed special, ‘Comedy Monster’, on Netflix, which was nominated for a Grammy Award, adding to his nominations for ‘Mr. Universe’, ‘Obsessed’, ‘Cinco’ and ‘Quality Time’.

 

Away from the stage, Gaffigan has also taken on the lead role in the sci-fi dramedy Linoleum (2022) alongside Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul) and Katelyn Nacon (The Walking Dead) and has also starred in such celebrated shows as That ‘70s Show, Bob’s Burgers, Rick and Morty and his own show, The Jim Gaffigan Show, which he co-created.

 

In 2019, he starred in as many as eight films, three of which – Troop Zero, Light from Light and Them That Follow – premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, leading to Gaffigan being dubbed ‘King of Sundance’ by press and audience members. In 2015, he performed for Pope Francis and over 1 million festival attendees.
