Renowned UK funny man is bringing his 30 Years of Dirt tour to Bristol in Autumn

Posted on: 22 May 2024

Following a sell-out UK and Ireland Spring tour and fresh from announcing a third run in London’s West End, comic legend Frank Skinner has added extra tour dates to his upcoming tour.

Frank Skinner: ’30 Years of Dirt’ will drop by Bristol Beacon’s Beacon Hall on Sunday 6 October 2024.

The Midlands funnyman’s new stand-up show, ’30 Years of Dirt’, has received widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike with Dominic Maxwell of The Times calling Skinner “a comedian so funny that it’s almost obscene. 30 Years of Dirt is a sparkling tour de force from a craftsman with exquisite control of his art.”

General sale for this show goes on sale at 10 AM on Thursday 23 May 2024.

Frank Skinner’s live career began way back in 1987 when he spent £400 out of his last £435 booking a room at the Edinburgh Fringe. Four years later he returned to the city, taking home comedy’s most prestigious prize, The Perrier Award.

Skinner went on to create the deeply influential comedy chat show The Frank Skinner Show (ITV) and, alongside David Baddiel, created and presented both Fantasy Football and Baddiel & Skinner Unplanned with the duo also penning and performing the seminal football anthem ‘Three Lions’ alongside The Lighting Seeds.

Over the years, he has also presented and hosted three series of Frank Skinner’s Opinionated for BBC 2, seven series of BBC 1’s Room 101 and Portrait/Landscape Artist of the Year for Sky Arts, as well as documentaries on Muhammad Ali (BBC 1), Elvis (BBC 4) and George Formby (BBC 4).

His celebrated Absolute Radio show also won three gold awards for Best Speech Programme and Best Entertainment/Comedy Production at The ARIAs and was inducted into the Radio Academy Hall of Fame in 2015. Skinner also remains a stand-up icon and is a regular on BBC Radio.

In addition to his already sold-out June dates and run in the West End, Frank Skinner has announced extra shows in Bradford, Southampton, Bournemouth, Bristol, Dartford, Eastbourne, Stevenage, Brighton, Coventry, Salford, Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Reading, Hull, Wolverhampton and more.
