Dubbed the ‘Closer Tour’, Wilde will be celebrating her legendary Close record, playing through the album in addition to songs from her upcoming full-length release Closer and, of course, her earlier hits. Tickets for this one go on sale at 10 AM this Friday 26 April 2024.

Londoner Kim Wilde is the daughter of popular 50s pop singer Marty Wilde and rose to fame in 1981 with the release of her smash hit debut single, ‘Kids in America’ which debuted at Number Two in the charts.

Her early career brand of synth-pop was at home amongst the burgeoning New Wave scene at the time, however, over time Wilde shifted to more mainstream pop/dance-pop sound as she continued to score numerous chart successes and became a star throughout Europe and in the US.

Throughout this long and decorated career, Wilde has earned a reputation as a formidable live performer alongside her wonderful band. On the upcoming ‘Closer Tour’, fans can expect to hear such hits as ‘You Came’, ‘You Keep Me Hangin’ On’, ‘Never Trust a Stranger’, ‘Stone’, ‘Chequered Love’ and, of course, ‘Kids In America’!

In addition to Bristol, Kim Wilde’s ‘Closer Tour’ will drop by venues in Birmingham, Manchester, Cambridge, London, Liverpool, Sheffield, York and Glasgow across March 2025. Support comes from veteran rock outfit Cutting Crew.
