Legendary sitcom star to host ultimate quiz for fans this Saturday

Posted on: 19 Apr 2024

This Saturday, April 20, Strange Brew will be teaming up with Peep Show’s Liam Noble – aka Big Mad Andy – to present a quiz on the beloved sitcom.

Peep Show is one of the most legendary British sitcoms of the 2000s – from the innovative filming style, to the showcasing of the talents of David Mitchell and Robert Webb, to the staggering avalanche of memes and in-jokes that have sprung forth from the long-lived series, it has definitely cemented its place in history.

With such a huge following, and so many memorable moments and lines, its not surprising that fans are ready to get competitive. In that spirit, Liam Noble – known for playing the emotionally unstable painter-decorator Big Mad Andy – will be hosting the ultimate Peep Show knowledge quiz this Saturday, 20 April, at Strange Brew.

For such valuable knowledge, it’s only right that there are valuable prizes on offer – while there’s no intel on what they might be, they’re described as ‘insane’. Perhaps even a package of Crunchy Nut? After all, it’s pretty expensive, as we recall.

Strange Brew is a great venue for a quiz like this – and the event also promises ‘yards of ale’, but be careful not to mix it with a pint; you might end up with an interdenominational hangover. So if you think you have what it takes to prove yourself the ultimate Peep Show fan, then head on down to Strange Brew to give the others quizzers a taste of your steel!

As mentioned, the quiz is taking place this weekend; Saturday 20 April. You can find all the details, and get a ticket ahead of time, on Headfirst. Remember to buy your team’s tickets together – with a maximum of six to a team. Plus, stick around to the evening for a wild bill of IDM, ambient and more at Accidental Meetings and go all Rainbow Rhythms on the dancefloor!
