Experience a Winter Wonderland at Wookey Hole Caves this festive period

Journey into the caves this Christmas with Santa and his elves at Wookey Hole’s Winter Wonderland, including three special experiences wrapped up into one magical day out.

 

Wookey Hole’s Winter Wonderland runs at the caves on selected dates until Monday 1 January 2024.

 

In addition to the three Christmas-themed experiences – dubbed ‘Lights’, ‘Santa’ and ‘Magic’ – visitors will be able to enjoy all the usual activities and attractions running at Wookey Hole as well as a special festive movie in the 4D Cinema. This has all the making of a special day out for the whole family!

Your festive trip will begin with a visit to the famous caves, specially illuminated with more than 100,000 lights. As well as providing a beautiful spectacle, this breathtaking Christmas light show will light up the dark underground so that even the smallest visitor will be able to enjoy the twinkle, without being grouchy because it’s past their bedtime.

 

Next up, immerse yourself in Santa’s North Pole Grotto, where every child will have the opportunity to meet Santa and take home a present from Santa’s Elves’ Toy Shop - this year provided by Ty Toys. This traditional Christmas grotto is sure to make the young ‘uns smile with whimsical displays of animals and children enjoying wintery fun.

 

Finally, experience a spectacular circus-themed show, taking place at the Wookey Hole Theatre as part of the experience. This year, the Grinch will be causing mischief, looking to spoil the show. Will they find the Christmas spirit in time for the finale? Shows are at 12 PM, 1.30 PM and 3 PM.

 

The Wookey Hole Winter Wonderland runs on the following December 2023 dates: Saturday 2, Monday 18, Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20, Thursday 21, Friday 22, Sunday 24, Wednesday 27, Thursday 28, Friday 29, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 as well as Monday 1 January 2024.
