A tarot, magic and occult event is coming to Old Market this weekend

Posted on: 09 Nov 2023

Taking place at new West Street art space L’étoile Studio, those interested in mysticism will be able to enjoy a three-day market and exhibition featuring artists from the local area.

The L’étoile Studio event begins at 7 PM on Friday 10 November 2023 and then runs between 12 PM and 5 PM on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12.

L’étoile Studio will be open on Friday from 6 PM for a vernissage and a private view with friends and family before opening for the general audience. All those in attendance are encouraged to dress in costume for a special masquerade ball, complete with music and mulled wine!

Tickets for this event are FREE but attendees are encouraged to book tickets HERE.

The exhibition will feature an installation of vintage and antique spooky, bizarre items such as ritual objects, religious figurines, occult books and much more, offering an immersive experience into the world of the explore. Many of these items will be for sale and tarot decks made in Bristol will also be exhibited!

Curated by Marta Isabella Reina and Luis Lansdall, the artists involved in the event will be Raluca Bobis, Rosa Brown, Lucrezia Chiarle, Neil Hampton, Rachael Holley, Holly Hughes, Luis Lansdall, Zarya Moskovits, Dai Luk, Mireinart, Cristina Braga-Sorensen, Marta Zubieta, Hannah Wallwork and Natasha Watson.

There will also be divination games including tarot and bones reading with tarot decks made in Bristol by The Henderson-Perry Tarot Deck and Bewildered Tarot Deck also exhibiting their work.

L’étoile Studio opened its doors in the Old Market area earlier this year with the aim of offering a space for artistic experimentation, creativity, tutoring and well-being. Founded by Marta Isabella Reina, the name comes from the 17th Major Arcana of the Tarot: The Star. Find out more from the venue’s website.

The L’étoile Studio event begins at 7 PM on Friday 10 November 2023 and then runs between 12 PM and 5 PM on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12. Tickets are FREE (donations are welcome) but attendees are encouraged to book tickets HERE.
