Winter(land) is coming to Propyard – and it’s 80s themed!

With music, arcade games, delicious food and a hint of 80s magic, Propyard is gearing up to transport Bristol to a retro Ski Lodge this Winter.

 

Winterland at Propyard runs at the Feeder Road venue from Saturday 25 November until Saturday 23 December 2023.

 

Travel back to the electrifying 80s with Propyard’s Winterland Roller Disco as the St Phillips warehouse is transformed into a classic 80s ski lodge. Visitors will be able to soak up the atmosphere and energy of the period with live and DJs as well as a spot of chalet shimmying to get you into the Christmas spirit.

The perfect space for an off-piste night out, dust off your rollerblades (or use the ones for hire) and race around the rink at Propyard’s Roller Disco. Covering 400 square metres, solo skaters, families and friends will be able to enjoy the neon lights and disco beats – disco ball included!

 

Anyone with a competitive streak can get stuck into some epic battles with Propyard’s extensive collection of retro arcade games. Bringing total old-school vibes, relive your childhoods with a range of classics including Pac-Man and Street Fighter. On top of these regular sights, Propyard will be bringing back some stellar Winter Socials to thaw your icy mood. Blending old-school elements with modern production, GotSome will be bringing his bass-heavy dance floor bangers to the Ski Lodge on Saturday 25 November.

 

Friday 1 December, BBC Introducing star DJ Emma will be transporting club-goers back to summer with her disco, funk and house bangers and, on Friday 15 December, local legend Paul Bozak, also known as Paul Morrissey, will be on the decks. Cornish trio Hong Kong Ping Pong Club will take over on Friday 22 December - bringing beats, breaks, glitch and more.

 

Every Thursday in between, DJ X-Ray Ted will be filling the Propyard warehouse with party breaks, hip-hop and funk. Having garnered 6 Music DJ Craig Charles’ stamp of approval, this series of Winter Socials is not to be missed.
