Aardman are running model making sessions for all ages in Bristol this Saturday

Bristolians of all ages are invited to join expert model makers from Aardman at Prior Shop in Quakers Friars for a fun, hands-on model-making workshop.

 

Model Making with Aardman will see three sessions take place throughout the day (11 AM to 4 PM) on Saturday 21 October 2023.

 

Attendees will be able to get creative with clay and make their own versions of Aardman characters to take home! Session one will focus on Shaun the Sheep, session two on Morph and session three on Feathers McGraw – so choose wisely!

 

This exciting workshop is priced at only £5 per participant.

 

 

Each of the three sessions will focus on a different iconic character and will be run by an expert model maker who has worked on some of Aardman’s most recognisable productions. On top of their expertise, they will have plenty of great anecdotes and insights into the magical world of Aardman.

 

The sessions are available to everyone over the age of six – big kids and adults too – so pick your favourite Aardman character and get modelling! Session one runs between 11 AM and 12 PM and focuses on Shaun the Sheep, session two (Morph) runs from 1 PM to 2 PM and session three (Feathers McGraw) runs between 3 PM and 4 PM.

 

Children can be left in the workshop space while parents/carers browse the shop, however, they must stay onsite. All participants get 10% off any purchase made at the homeware shop Prior on the day.

 

The workshop is taking place in partnership with Cabot Circus, Aardman, Upfest and Prior to celebrate the brand-new Quakers Lane mural from Aardman and Upfest, so make sure to check it out on the way to Prior.

 

This isn’t the only workshop taking place in October, however, there will also be printmaking for adults on the same day; between Monday 23 and Friday 27, Prior are creating a second mural in Cabot Circus and are asking for help; and, on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29, the shop is hosting an in-house Sustainable Design Fair.
