Ed Gamble to bring his brand-new show to Bristol next year

Already scheduled to appear at The Bristol Hippodrome later this month with his and James Acaster’s chart topping podcast Off Menu, Gamble will return in 2024 with his own show, ‘Hot Diggity Dog’.

To describe the show, Ed has created a genius, food related analogy: “Ed Gamble has minced a load of meat (thoughts), piped it into a casing (show) and it’s coming to a bun (venue) near you”. Fans can expect all your classic Gamble ranting, raving and spluttering but he’s doing fine mentally – he promises!

After cutting his teeth at the Edinburgh Fringe (often with close collaborator Ray Peacock) and winning the 2007 Chortle Student Comedy Awards, Gamble broke into the mainstream during the mid 2010s with appearances on TV shows such as Russel Howard’s Good News confirming his immense talent.

 

Ever since then, Gamble has been UK comedy favourite and a regular on shows such as Mock The Week and Taskmaster (which he won in 2019). Last year, he was also announced as one of six rotating co-hosts for hit quiz show Pointless, replacing Richard Osman.

 

Perhaps his biggest success, however, is smash hit food and comedy podcast, ‘Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster’. With past prestigious guests including Florence Pugh, Yotam Ottolenghi, Stanley Tucci, Richard E. Grant, Mike Skinner, Ed Sheeran, Jamie Oliver, Bob Mortimer and Louis Theroux, the show is now coming to Bristol for a sold out live show!
