Propyard to wave goodbye to Unicornfest with a special farewell event

Taking place next month, this weekend long Farewell Festival will signal the end of a truly magical art trail and give Bristolians one last chance to see the ‘blessing’ of unicorns.

 

Unicornfest’s Farewell Festival will run at Propyard on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September 2023.

 

In addition to showcasing all 60 of the beautiful unicorns and more than 40 foals which have been spread throughout Bristol during the summer holiday period, the two-day celebrations will feature the unveiling of a 61st never before seen unicorn.

Bristol’s most magical arts trail, Unicornfest, have arranged a bumper two-day party, giving the public a final chance to see these wonderful creatures as well as exclusive access to the final, 61st unicorn, currently being designed by a very special artist yet to be announced.

 

Speaking about the event, Zack Pemberton-Whiteley (CEO of Leukaemia Care) has said: “We’ve truly had such a magical summer in Bristol. Our unicorns have been scanned over 150,000 times by visitors coming from Germany to the USA. We’re incredibly proud to see people travelling from all over the world to come see all 60.

 

“The Farewell festival will be the public’s last chance to see the complete set of unicorns who will all be retouched by their artists ready for the occasion, ahead of heading to the auction which will raise final vital funds for Leukaemia Care.

 

“It’s also an excellent chance for people who are collecting the unicorns on our app to scan any they have missed; coming along is the only way you can scan our secret 61st unicorn!”

 

The festival will allow attendees to spend some time with the unicorns, getting pictures and studying them in detail. There will be a DJ providing a suitable soundtrack and street food vendors on site.

 

The popular ‘decorate a Dala-Corn sessions’ will return for the final time at the event and, supported by IKEA Bristol for the full weekend. Visitors can buy a Dala-Corn and decorate with a wide variety of paints, stickers and pom poms to create a lasting souvenir of the event.

 

 

Catch the Unicorns around Bristol and the surrounding area while you still can with the magnificent beasts heading back to the stable from Monday 4 September 2023.
