Luxmuralis is a collaborative team of multidisciplinary artists whose aim is to take over interesting and unexpected public spaces and structures with their art, combining light and sound (in addition to fully curated fine art) to take audiences on a journey of incredible architectural feats around the world.
Their latest project, ‘Force of Nature’, is sure to delight visitors when it takes over Bristol Cathedral this Autumn, combining ancient architecture with modern creativity. Taking attendees on a journey through the elements, the cathedral will be divided into four distinct sections.
First, visitors will be confronted with the flaming power of volcanoes; then, immersed in the sky and the environment; next, they will watch the earth evolves through dramatic historic and artistic imagery; finally, they will be led to the Nave and immersed in the immensity of the oceans and storms.
Luxmuralis’ lead artist and artistic director, Peter Walker, has said of the event: “We wanted to create a show that explores the elements in a way that has not been done before. Our talented team of artists has curated an installation that is truly unique, which will bring something new and very special to the iconic historical space of Bristol Cathedral.”
Tickets for the installation will go on sale on Thursday 31 August and will be priced at £6.99 for children and £9.99 for adults, with a concession price for NHS and Armed Forces. There will also be the option of Quiet Hour versions of the experience.
