Beloved indie rocker Miles Kane is coming to Bristol in January 2024

A shapeshifting presence within the UK indie scene since the mid 2000s, Kane will be playing in Bristol as part of a UK tour celebrating his upcoming fifth album, One Man Band.

 

Miles Kane will play O2 Academy Bristol on Friday 26 January 2024.

 

The charismatic crooner’s latest record captures him at his guitar hero best, bursting at the seams with big hooks and even bigger anthems. Sharp, infectious, urgent and with singalong moments aplenty, One Man Band is Miles at the very top of his game.

Wirral native Miles Kane began playing in bands when he was just 18 years old, first breaking into indie consciousness as the lead singer of short-lived outfit The Rascals, drawing praise from the likes of NME as well as supporting Arctic Monkeys on tour in 2007.

 

While on this tour, Kane struck up a close bond with the band’s legendary frontman, Alex Turner. The pair went on to form the baroque pop project The Last Shadow Puppets together, their debut record, 2008’s The Age of Understatement, received widespread acclaim, including a Mercury Prize nomination.

 

Kane’s charismatic onstage demeanour and vintage 60s and 70s inspired rock sound and style has since become a solo tour de force, releasing his debut Colour of the Trap in 2011, Don’t Forget Who You Are in 2013 and Coup de Grace in 2018, all of which succeeded in breaking into the UK top 20.

 

Last year’s Change the Show saw the singer-songwriter further explore his deeply held love for musical gods Marc Bolan, John Lennon and Paul Weller. Set for release on Friday 4 August, Kane’s fifth studio album One Man Band promises to be a blistering effort, proving that the now 37-year-old is still at the top of his game.

 

In addition to Bristol, Miles Kane’s January/February 2024 tour will see him play venues in Leeds, Birmingham, Oxford, Nottingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Cambridge, Southampton, Brighton and London. Find out more here.
