Outer Town Festival to return next year with special fundraiser announced for September

Bristol’s very own multi-venue extravaganza is returning bigger and better than ever in 2024 following two years of unforgettable Old Market takeovers.

 

Outer Town Festival 2024 will take place on Saturday 13 April 2024.

 

If you can’t wait that long for the festival, have no fear because Friday 15 September will see ‘Outer Realm: An Outer Town Festival Experience’ descend on Exchange with a night of music bursting with the best Bristol has to offer with alt-pop, post-punk, sonic experimentation and much, much more! A staple of Bristol’s festival landscape for two years now, Outer Town is a dynamic celebration of the city’s music talent. With each lineup featuring the finest up-and-coming acts from Bristol and beyond, the event has been celebrated for its openness to push boundaries and create memories.

 

The first two editions have seen the likes of JOHN, Grove, Opus Kink, Courting, Grandmas House and more appear across six venues on one of Bristol’s real nightlife hubs, Old Market. Now, Outer Town are redeveloping their image, moving to a Saturday to allow space for even more artists!

Next year’s festival will also see the introduction of the new grandstand main stage: The Den, Trinity Centre’s 500-capacity outdoor stage. This stage will host the festival’s headliners as well as the wristband exchange, DIY independent market and various food stalls.

 

Outer Town organisers have also scheduled a bumper fundraising event at Exchange on Friday 15 September. ‘Outer Realm: An Outer Town Festival Experience’ will feature sets from Bristol favourites Try Me, Tlya X An, DAMEFRISØR (pictured below), Biped and Broadsheets in an event that’s sure to be a blast.
