Armed with a throwback style reminiscent of the early ‘90s Manchester scene, the Sydney natives have made waves through the UK scene in recent years.

DMA’s will play O2 Academy Bristol on Monday 11 December 2023.

With a sound that recalls the likes of Oasis and Primal Scream at the top of their game, this looks set to be the perfect winter night out for Bristolian fans of wistful melodies and swirling guitar riffs – hurry, this is sure to be a popular show!

Formed back in 2012 by members of Sydney rock outfit Underlight, Johnny Took and Tommy O’Dell, and guitarist Matt Mason, the group quickly signed with local label I Oh You with their debut single, ‘Delete’, coming soon after.

The dreamy, acoustic track received widespread praise, shooting up the charts and garnering a great deal of press interest. DMA’s’ full-length debut, Hills End, came in early 2016 and secured the three-piece’s reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the UK and Europe.

A slew of records followed, with the band’s fourth, How Many Dreams?, coming earlier this year. Their widespread success has seen work with legendary dance outfit Orbital and support the likes of Liam Gallagher, Kasabian and more. DMA’s’ 2016 cover of Cher’s ‘Believe’ proved a viral sensation, watch the video below…

DMA’s will drop by Bristol later this year as part of a December UK tour that will also see them appear at venues in Norwich, Southampton, Nottingham, Liverpool, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester and London. Find out more here.
