Next month at Strange Brew, join frontwoman Dali de Saint Paul and collaborators for the launch party of ‘EP/64-64’, a box set of recordings and images from the project's 64th and final concert.

This special ‘EP/64 - 64’ event will take place at Strange Brew on Thursday 6 July 2023.

The event will begin with the premiere of James Hankins' film documenting EP/64’s final show, followed by an improvised live performance featuring local leftfield mainstays including Silver Waves, Pat Benjamin (Tara Clerkin Trio), Harry Furniss (Iceman Furniss) and more.

Tickets for the event are available now and can be purchased HERE.

EP/64 (full name: The Ephemeral Project 64) was born following a dream Dali de Saint Paul had and then realised, playing 64 improvised live sets with a wide array of musicians and audio-visual artists over a period of 6 years.

Over the years, in addition to the core members of Dali and Dan Johnson, the project has featured collaborations with the likes of Miguel Prado (Harrga, Nzumbe), Robin Stewart (Giant Swan), Paddy Shine (GNOD), Agathe Max, Yoshino Shihigara (Yama Warashi), Evil Usses, Andrew Neil Hayes (Run Logan Run) and many more.

The project reached the end of its cycle in May 2022 with all previous collaborators invited back for a series of improvised performances taking place over two epic days of music at the Arnolfini.

The Strange Brew event next month will mark the release of a box set of recordings and images from the 64thand final show, in a package designed by Bokeh Versions Industrial and published by TBC Editions, with photography from legendary documenter of Bristol’s underground music community, Simon Holliday.

James Hankins’ experimental documentary on the final concert will kick off proceedings followed by improvised live performances from Silver Waves (Silver Waves), Jesse Webb (GNOD), Pat Benjamin (Tara Clerkin Trio), Harry Furniss (Iceman Furniss), Birthmark (Birthmark) and Dali de Saint Paul.
