Bristol Craft Beer Festival was back again this year, once again basking in the sunshine falling upon Canon's Marsh Amphitheatre.

Brewers, volunteers, venue-owners and enthuiasts were all under one sky last Friday evening as they lapped up the end-of-the-day sun and delighted in the mind-melting smorgasbord of delectable craft beers available to anyone armed with a tasting glass - we were on hand to capture the scenes of indulgence and appreciation spread across the festival.

1. Amphitheatre Appreciation

Beer-lovers colonised the harbourside Amphitheatre last weekend - spread across the beerhall-style benches and buzzing between tents, it was a hoppy hive of activity.

2. Groovy Glass

As always, all the beer samples at the festival are completely free, with every visitor handed a tasting glass on the way in - with the added bonus of getting to take the stylish little vessel with them to commemerate the event!

3. Stylish Stands

Some of the visiting breweries had pulled out the stops with their stands, bringing bold designs, bright colours and all varieties of signage - hoping to attract punters to their samples like bees to a flower, like Brixton's stand with cheery corrugated metal, their eye-catching logo front-and-centre, and the funky bartop with coasters trapped in clear plastic.

4. Beer!

We couldn't go much longer without mentioning the star of the show: beer! There was everything from pales to porters, lagers to lemon ales and more!

5. Beer! Again!

It felt like pint-pulling deserved at least two pictures.

6. Mead and More.

Of course, it wasn't just beer on offer at the event, with cocktails, aperetifs and - beer's bardcore cousin- mead all putting in a fantastic showing in the sunshine.

7. Local Legends

Of course, Bristol's (objectively superior) breweries were all there to present their fermented fancies - New Bristol Brewery, Bristol Beer Factory, Wiper & True, LHG and others were all stocking stands with their brightest and best brews!

8. Fantastic Food

Beer isn't just a solo act, and loves to share your stomach with a bite to eat - so it's a good thing some of Bristol & beyond's best bistro booths were on hand to satisfying beer-fuelled food cravings.

9. Musical Magic

Like any good harbourside festival, BCBF has a stage full of musical offerings all night for drinkers to dance to - with bands in the day and DJs by night to dance off that drinker's drowsiness.

10. Unforgettable Festival (hopefully)

As always, BCBF is a special event in Bristol's summer calendar, and one that you won't easily forget - unless you had a few too many samples...
