Taking place this weekend, tickets are running low for the Somerset festival that boasts the likes of legendary dance pop outfit Sister Sledge amongst its lineup.

 

Shindig Festival will run from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 May 2023.

 

The festival is located on the stunning grounds of the 16th-century Dillington Estate near Ilminster, Somerset and boasts 7 themed venues as well as over 120 acts whether that be comedy, music, or something else.

Headlining the festival is Sister Sledge (featuring Kathy Sledge), the world-renowned group best known for hit singles such as ‘We Are Family’, ‘Greatest Dancer’, ‘Lost In Music’ and ‘Thinking Of You’. 

 

They will be joined by London-based rock and roll band Warmduscher, who are guaranteed draw a massive crowd with their boisterous blend of post-punk and neo-psychedelia as well as the original queen of reggae, Dawn Penn – the brain behind smash hit single ‘No, No, No’.

 

Other music highlights include one of Britain’s most celebrated DJs Norman Jay MBE; Phantasy Founder, producer, remixer, DJ and North Londoner Erol Alkan; reggae and big beats legend David Rodigan; BBC Radio 6 DJ and hip-hop enthusiast Huey Morgan and many more besides.

 

It’s not just an incredible music programme that Shindig have on offer, there will also be a slew of hilarious comedy sets, spearheaded by Tom Walker’s satirical news reporter, Jonathan Pie. Join him for brutally honest takes about the world of politics and beyond – you won’t be disappointed. 

 

These acts will be spread across an array of venues, featuring Tutti Frutti Beach Bar, The Dig Inn, Ghetto Funk Night Club, Shimmy Discotheque, SS Nautylicious, Eat Glorious Food, Father Funk’s Church of Love, The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club, Kids Kingdom and more.
