With an enduring appeal that has spread generations, The Proclaimers last year released the critically acclaimed Dentures Out, their twelfth studio album to date and have since embarked on a mammoth run of shows that have taken them all over the UK and beyond – and they’re not stopping just yet.

Identical twins Craig and Charlie Reid achieved global success in the late 1980s thanks to their charismatic blend of rock, folk, country and soul that proudly displayed the brothers’ thick Scottish accents.

 

After spending their early years as an acoustic outfit, their full band debut 1988’s Sunshine on Leith achieved widespread success and featured the catchy worldwide smash hit, ‘I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)’, a staggering anthem of new love that endures to this day.

 

The band have a wildly impressive songbook that features songs such as ‘I’m on My Way’, Sunshine on Leith’, ‘Letter from America’ and many more. In popular culture, ‘I’m on My Way’ is one of the key songs on the Shrek soundtrack and the duo’s music was even turned into a jukebox musical, Sunshine on Leith.

 

The Proclaimers' songs are timeless, capturing a gamut of human emotions, written with a mix of poignancy, emotional honesty, political fire and wit. Their songs are equally at home at weddings, funerals and everything in between – this is a show you really don’t want to miss!
