‘Symphonic Universe – The Music of the Avengers and Beyond’ will see BBC Radio 1’s Ali Plumb present a night of cinema’s most spine-tingling moments right here in Bristol.

 

Symphonic Universe – The Music of the Avengers and Beyond will be performed at The Bristol Hippodrome on Sunday 29 October 2023.

 

This exciting event will feature music from The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain America, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Thor: Ragnarok, X Men and much more expertly brought to life live on stage by an orchestra and choir.

October will see film score lovers escape to another realm with a show full of songs for superheroes, music fit for gods and the soundtrack to space brought to life by conductor Lee Reynolds, the London-based Coro Spezzato choir and the London Concert Orchestra.

 

On top of the film soundtracks already mentioned, this musical dream team will also play favourite pieces from the likes of Danny Elfman’s Batman, Hans Zimmer’s The Dark Knight Rises and Man of Steel, and John Williams’ iconic Star Wars.

 

This action-packed evening will be presented by BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra’s very own film critic, Ali Plumb. A writer, journalist, broadcaster and one of the most-heard movie critics in the UK, Ali is the perfect person to lead these superhero-worthy proceedings. So, come dressed for the occasion and prepare for snap-worthy moments with props and pics.

 

In addition to the date at The Bristol Hippodrome, ‘Symphonic Universe – The Music of the Avengers and Beyond’ is set to be performed at New Theatre Oxford on Sunday 21 May, Sheffield City Hall on Saturday 9 September, and Nottingham’s Royal Centre on Sunday 10 September.
