This spectacle of live entertainment tells the story of Mother Goose (Ian McKellen) and her husband Vic (John Bishop) who run an animal sanctuary for waifs and strays while also living a wholesome, comfortable life in an abandoned Debenhams.
However, when Cilla the Goose comes flying into town, will fame and fortune prove their downfall? Will Ma’s feathers be seriously ruffled? Will Pa tell everyone to get stuffed? And is their fair life about to turn foul?
Panto fans will have all these questions answered and more in this mad production! Prepare yourselves for fairies with admirable vocal cords, tap-dancing puppets and carefully constructed mayhem that is sure to crack up the whole family.
A fun, family-friendly panto, Mother Goose is the mother of all pantos, perfect for the final week of the Easter holidays with a healthy dose of fun, farce and so much more. As well as McKellen and Bishop, the cast features the likes of Anna-Jane Casey (West Side Story) as Cilla The Goose and Oscar Conlon-Morrey (Only Fools and Horses The Musical) as Jack.
Mother Goose is written by Jonathan Harvey (Coronation Street, Gimme Gimme Gimme) with the award-winning Cal McCrystal as director. Set and Costume design comes from Liz Ascroft, Choreography from Lizzi Gee, Lighting design by Prema Mehta, Sound design by Ben Harrison and Puppet Design by Chris Barlow.
