Hailing from Rotherham, The Reytons are made up of Jonny Yerrell, Joe O’Brien, Lee Holland and Jamie Todd. What sets the band apart from their peers is a fiercely independent approach to their craft. They channel their working class grift and determination to overcome every obstacle thrown at them – all aided by their loyal fan base.

Known for their down-to-earth, accented brand of indie rock, The Reytons formed in 2017 after meeting each other at open mic nights and recording studios. Not long after, the band released their eccentric EP It Was All So Monotonous. Along with their second EP, Kids off the Estate, they gained a reputation for wordy tales of working class life.

Having established a fervent fan base with these early releases, the quartet played a triumphant hometown show at Sheffield’s Leadmill. In 2021, The Reyton’s debut album, Kids off the Estate, reached number 11 in the UK charts followed by a lengthy UK tour and several high-profile festival dates.

The band’s sophomore album, What’s Rock and Roll?, was released in January to widespread acclaim, as always, without any label backing. The LP debuted at number one on the UK charts, an almost unrivalled feat for an unsigned band. It was released in 32 separate formats, potentially a record for a number one album.
