Posted on: 24 Mar 2023

As one of the prime destinations for the biggest acts from the UK and abroad, O2 Academy is one of the city's most popular venues for students and Bristolians alike.

Eurovision runners-up, punk rock pioneers, breakthrough stars and plenty of "likely lads" are all appearing at one of Bristol's biggest music venues next month with an array of music events between Saturday 1 and Saturday 29 April 2023.

The Dualers | Saturday 1 April

Kicking off April at O2 Academy Bristol is South London-based nine-piece ska and reggae band The Dualers, who are guaranteed to bring the party. The much-loved groups burst onto the scene in 2013 thanks to hit single 'Kiss on the Lips' and haven't looked back since - drawing in massive crowds all over the country!

Sam Ryder | Sunday 2 April

Next up is a biggie. Sam Ryder is a viral, smash-hit TikTok sensation and the 'Space Man' who is responsible for giving the United Kingdom its best result at Eurovision since 1998 in 2022. Last year Ryder was spotted busking on the streets of Bristol, but now he's going one step further with a show at the city's O2 Academy.

This event is sold out, however, it is worth keeping an eye on the event page for resale tickets.

Mikey Spice | Monday 10 April

The Kingston native is a legendary multi-instrumentalist and, backed by special guests Peter Spence, Caroldene Thompson and Chardel Rhoden, this is sure to be a breathtaking night of music.

The Damned | Friday 14 April

We're pretty astonished that, at the time of writing, this gig isn't sold out. Join Scott Bradlee and co for a trip through 100 years of timeless music!

Aldous Harding | Monday 24 April

Next is a show that has been upgraded from Trinity. New Zealand folk singer-songwriter Aldous Harding has made a name for herself over the past decade as one of indie's most distinctive voices, a reputation that was only increased last year with the release of her critically acclaimed fourth album, Warm Chris.

The Teskey Brothers | Tuesday 25 April

All the way from Australia, The Teskey Brothers are finally back in the UK as part of their first headline tour anywhere in the world in over three years. The band took time out from live shows following two critically acclaimed studio albums, including 2019’s Grammy-nominated Run Home Slow, but now they're back with Bristol one of their stops.

Razorlight | Wednesday 26 April

The first of a 2000s double bill here with indie-rock icons Razorlight. Returning with their original lineup for a first run of shows in a decade, Johnny Borrell and co are celebrating their latest release, Razorwhat? The Best Of Razorlight. Fans should expect classics such as 'America', 'Golden Touch' and plenty more in this extraordinary comeback show.

This event is sold out, however, it is worth keeping an eye on the event page for resale tickets.

Peter Doherty | Saturday 29 April

Closing our April rundown is another indie mainstay in the shape of Peter Doherty.
