Popular food and drink festival returns Bedminster’s East Street this April

More than 60 food and drinks stalls is coming to East Street for a second edition of eat:Bedminster, showcasing the best local food and drink from around Bristol and the South West.

 

eat:Bedminster takes place along East Street, Bedminster on Saturday 15 April.

 

Kicking off a busy season of celebrating local street food and producers for eat:Festivals, eat:Bedminster will take over East Street from 10 AM until 4 AM, shining a light on the region’s amazing food and drink culture.

A non-profit social enterprise, eat:Festivals hosts one-day, award-winning food and drink festivals all over the West Country, to bring together communities and local producers as well as showcase the brilliant local food and drink around them. 

 

eat:Bedminster will feature everything from street food vendors, handmade preserves and award-winning patisseries, to farmer’s market favourites and plant based artisan dishes. Visitors can expect to meet local makers, and sample and purchase the best food and drink on offer.

 

Due to popular demand, this year’s festival will expand onto Dean Street to make way for more producers and street entertainment, with family-friendly shows, art workshops, strolling entertainers and a folk-filled family show.

 

eat:Festivals pride themselves on inclusivity within food and drink. The Bedminster edition will, as always, cater for all dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free produce. Low and no-alcohol options are also available.

 

Simon Dicken (Chair of Bedminster BID) has said: “It is great to be able to give Bedminster a second edition of eat:Bedminster. Not only does it give support to local traders, but we can shine a light on new businesses in the area. East Street will be buzzing with music, good food and independent traders on every corner.”

The Bedminster event will be one of the first of the busy summer season for eat:Festivals, with more than 30 festivals taking place throughout the year in West Country towns including Clevedon, Taunton and Burnham-on-Sea.
