Renowned Welsh comedian to present brand new show at The Redgrave Theatre

Griff Rhys Jones is returning to the road with his eagerly anticipated new show ‘The Cat’s Pyjamas’ and Bristol is one of his scheduled stops.

 

Griff Rhys Jones’ ‘The Cat’s Pyjamas’ will perform at Bristol’s The Redgrave Theatre on Friday 9 June 2023.

 

Comedy lovers will be able to join Griff as he shares a new collection of funny observations and comic stories. There will be no theme and the performance varies from show to show as the comedian rambles on the ongoing national permacrisis.

‘The Cat’s Pyjamas’ is the follow-up to Griff’s last successful international tour, ‘All Over The Place’. This previous show saw the comedian perform to sell-out crowds in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

 

Away from stand-up, Griff is best known for his numerous appearances on UK television. He starred in the comedy sketch show Smith & Jones alongside Mel Smith as well as BBC satirical show broadcast with Mel Smith, Rowan Atkinson and Pamela Stephenson.

 

The Cardiff native has also been a presenter on various acclaimed documentaries, his credits include Three Men in a Boat, Mountain, Greatest Cities of the World, Rivers with Griff Rhys Jones and, most recently, Griff’s Canadian Adventure.

 

Themes touched upon in ‘The Cat’s Pyjamas’ will include age, family, fraud, nostalgia and the Tik Tok generation. It will also tackle crocodile smuggling and noodling in Australia in addition to travel, dogs, hotels, drink and midnight trains. Griff will also take questions from the audience and let rip as his associations wander.

 

As well as Bristol, ‘The Cat’s Pyjamas’ will appear at venues at Hemel Hempstead, Bradford-On-Avon, Epsom, High Wycombe, Chipping Norton, Wimborne, Newbury, Farnham, Oxford, Bury St Edmunds, Worthing, Southend, Tunbridge Wells, Bridgwater, Bridport, Monmouth, Hereford, Winchester, Milton Keynes and Norwich.
