Hessle Audio are celebrating their 15th anniversary in Bristol next month

Posted on: 20 Oct 2022

One of dance music's most well-respected labels, Hessle Audio, are heading to Bristol's Motion in November for a special '15 Years Of' show that will see some of their biggest names perform.

15 Years Of: Hessle Audio will appear at Motion on Friday 4 November.

Founded in Leeds back in 2007 by DJs Ben UFO, Pearson Sound and Pangaea, Hessle Audio has established a name for itself as one of the UK's key labels, gaining a strong following both domestically and abroad. Hessle DJs will take over Motion from 22:00 until 5:00 for their anniversary spectacular.

Tickets are currently on first release (£19.50) and can be purchased here.

Spearheaded by an ambitious group of dance music fanatics, Hessle Audio arrived on the scene towards the tail-end of dubstep’s heyday and, as the genre split up and cracked, no other imprint filled the void left by the post-dubstep landscape with the same clarity of vision.

The label immediately impressed with a string of early cuts that received support from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos - the blueprint for breaking musical boundaries was laid. The early quality has not dipped in over the years, with recent contributions from ANZ, Bruce, Shelley Parker and Laksa sitting alongside the classic sound of Pangaea and Pearson Sound’s own productions.

Hessle Audio's trip to Bristol, 15 years on from that early promise, sees label chiefs Ben UFO, Pearson Sound and Pangaea join forces for a night of incredible beats and non-stop dancing.

This show-stopping trio will be joined by New York music producer and international DJ Kush Jones, whose music productions span a wide variety of influences, incorporating genres such as Chicago footwork, Jersey Club, Jungle, UK Grime and related underground soundscapes into his sets.

Bristol favourite Danielle completes the main room lineup, playing a range of techno, electro, dubstep, breakbeat, jungle, ambient and experimental music within her set. Meanwhile, Solid Blake, Gramrcy, and Perko take over The Tunnel.

The Hessel Audio crew will roll into Motion on Friday 4 November, Early Bird tickets are already sold out so head to the event page to secure yours now.
