Deptford Northern Soul Club is returning to Bristol next month
Posted on: 17 Oct 2022Back by popular demand, the well-loved club night will be supplying Bristol with a lively dose of sweat-soaked soul under the stars, delivered by Deptford's finest.
Deptford Northern Soul Club will be at Bristol's Lost Horizon on Friday 11 November.
Returning for the first time since a vastly successful Bristol debut at Thekla in 2019, attendees can expect a night of pure energy to the soundtrack of all the most coveted, lost, rare and unreleased soul, funk and proto-disco with fresh cuts from some of the most pioneering names in dance music.

Deptford Northern Soul Club was birthed in 2016 by childhood friends Will Foot and Lewis Henderson, whose early obsession with soul music developed after falling upon Lewis’ Dad’s record collection. The night itself first appeared with a sell-out show at Deptford's now-legendary Bunker Club.
The boys' sets (that feature the likes of Sebastian Williams, Garnet Mimms, Jackie Wilson, Marvin Gaye and much, much more) succeeded in capturing the imagination of keen dancers all over the country. They have since taken their unique night around the UK, performing at various venues as well as the likes of Glastonbury festival and Green Man.
Deptford Northern Soul Club also boasts residencies at Manchester’s YES, their beloved Bunker Club and London’s Moth Club and have firmly established themselves as a late-night institution, as shown by their appearance at the Q Awards with IDLES and Wolf Alice.
According to event bosses Will and Lewis (pictured below), Bristol music lovers can expect "soul stompers, heavy horns, joyous perspiration, ecstatically harmonious strings, dance moves you’ve never seen before and a hangover you’ll want to forget" when they head into town next month.
The event will take place at Lost Horizon, one of Bristol's newest venues, showcasing a broad selection of music, art and performance. Venue bosses are really starting to amp up their programme with a jam-packed events schedule over the coming months.
