Bristol Restaurant revealed to be in top 10% in the world

Posted on: 04 Oct 2022

A family-run restaurant and cafe in the heart of Bristol has just received TripAdvisor’s most prestigious award.

In the modern age, online review services are the ultimate tastemakers – and none are bigger than TripAdvisor. The digital travel industry giant has put immense power in the hands of the people to review businesses the world over (Outside’s Tom Vanderbilt even described how TripAdvisor can impact entire countries) - and the people have spoken: Taste of Napoli is a hit.

Based in the Bristol Arcade in Broadmead and run by a family of Neapolitan heritage, Taste of Napoli offer food and drink dedicated to Italian and Neapolitan authenticity. From coffee in all its forms, espresso to cortado (including their signature pistachio mocha), to hot food like a selection of fried specials (hello, arancini!) and of course their authentic pizza, all the way to desserts like cannolini and tiramisu.

Now, their hard work has paid off – they’ve been awarded TripAdvisor's prestigious “Traveller's Choice 2022” award.

The Traveller's Choice award is based entirely off of public reviews and ratings of a business or attraction – those ratings are aggregated and then finally the top 10% of businesses in a given category – say ‘hotels’, or ‘restaurants’ – are awarded that year’s Traveller’s Choice award.

That means Bristol – and more specifically, Broadmead – is host to one of the top 10% rated restaurants in the world.

Reviewers on the site have described Taste of Napoli as “[the] best pizza by the slice outside of Italy” and “the best Italian shop in Bristol” – a reference to the fact that Taste of Napoli also sells a range of take-home Italian ingredients and products for your cooking at home.

So, well done, Taste of Napoli! We’ll be sure to visit as soon as we can (before you get swamped by your worldwide legions of fans).

You can find Taste of Napoli, as mentioned, in the Bristol Arcade in Broadmead. Their website is here, and you can follow them on Facebook here.
