Taking place this Saturday, the free-to-attend festival will see over 50 food and drink stalls take over Bedminster's East Street with some of Bristol's best local food and drink on show.

From 10AM until 4PM on Saturday 1 October, visitors from the local community and beyond will be able to sample anything from local cheese products to top-quality alcoholic beverages.

For more information, visit the eat:Festivals website.

This South Bristol foodie festival will perfectly complement the diverse array of independent traders and retailers who make East Street one of the most characterful high streets in the city, a stretch where you can enjoy everything from vegan junk food to a classic English breakfast at one of the many cafes.

A slew of Bristol-based businesses will be setting up stalls along the street throughout the festival. Vendors include local bakeries and pastry specialists such as Creamberry Artisan, Diggity Doughnuts and Dark Matters, or, for those interested in more savoury delights, Sri-Lankan street-food caterer Ceylon and Beyond, sustainable seafood specialist King Fin and vegan pop-up Soy Ahoy will all be attending the festival.

Gingerbeard Preserves will be presenting foodies with a range of farmer’s market classics, from chutneys to sauces, jams and marmalades, while beer enthusiasts can expect Bristol-brewed beverages from The Incredible Brewing Co.

It's not only Bristol businesses setting up stalls at eat:Bedminster Festival; businesses and suppliers from across the West Country will also be visiting East Street. These include farmers' market favourites such as Bath Soft Cheese Co, which makes the perfect pairing with the selection of continental meats on offer from Somerset Charcuterie.

A range of fresh food will also be on offer with local vegetable produce from Riverford Organic Farmers as well as Veg Life; alternatively, visitors can indulge in street-food savoury classics from Big Munch Mac & Cheese and The Bratman or sweet treats from Exeter-based Churros El Quijote.

For those looking to sample some local beverages, breweries from across the Westcountry will be showing off their selection of ciders, ales and beers, with the likes of Taunton's Secret Orchard’s cider, Harry’s Cider from Langport, and even Pier and Lighthouse Gin by The Clevedon Distillery showing off just how great the Westcountry's brew scene is.

Beyond the variety of food and drink options, there will be a range of products on offer which keep things natural, including botanical skin and haircare by Boo Cottage Botanicals and family-grown herb plants from Kitchen Garden Plant Centre.

Simon Dicken, Chair of Bedminster BID, has said about the event: “eat:Bedminster is a great opportunity in Autumn to head out and support local traders and explore all the new businesses that have opened in the area over summer. East Street is jam-packed with inspirational entrepreneurs and this event will see the street come alive with independent traders with foods from every corner of the world.”

The festival will take over Bedminster's East Street from 10AM until 4PM on Saturday 1 October, head to the eat:Festivals website to find out more.
