Explore untold stories from Bristol this weekend.

StoryTrails – an app using augmented and virtual reality to reanimate public spaces with historical accuracy – is hosting an immersive tour of Bristol this weekend.

On Saturday 20 (10:00 – 18:00) and Sunday 21 August (11:00 – 17:00), this virtual adventure through bygone times will guide participants along a set route – beginning at Bristol Central Library.

This is a FREE event. More information can be found via StoryTrails' website.

StoryTrails bills itself as a platform that ‘harnesses the magic of immersive storytelling to bring to life untold stories from the past’.

Using augmented and virtual reality, select public spaces are reanimated to reveal their storied pasts, immersing participants in local history with the latest technology.

At this weekend’s (20 and 21 August) Bristol event, attendees will be led through various ‘virtual portals’ by the StoryTrails app, which will guide along the trail.

Beginning at Bristol Central Library, participants will be offered the opportunity to explore the city in a new, refreshing light.

Archive footage from BFI, BBC and The Box, Plymouth Archive has been meticulously sifted through and the most fascinating curios collated to create an app that will fill the streets with new voices and untold stories from the past.

This event is FREE. All you need to do is download the StoryTrails app on to your preferred device and set off! Visit StoryTrails’ website for more details.
