With local derbies for both Bristol City and Bristol Rovers few and far between, the regular clash between Bristol Bears and Bath is one of the key dates in the West Country sporting calendar.

As well as the Friday night Premiership Rugby bonanza, fans can expect a raucous atmosphere, live music, entertainment, food stalls and pop-up bars as Ashton Gate welcomes the club’s noisy neighbours.

Tickets are now on sale for the explosive event and Bristol rugby fans are encouraged to secure their seats early as possible. Prices begin at £35 for adults and as little as £10 for children. Head to the Bears website to secure yours.

As well as this highly anticipated opening day clash, The Bears have planned a whole heap of special days for the upcoming season.

The club will be celebrating their young supporters through the brand new ‘Bears Family Day'. As well as pre-match children’s entertainment, the club are offering reduced pricing for the Bears vs London Irish game on Saturday 24 September.

There will also be the ‘Huboo Fan Appreciation Night’ on Friday 7 October. For the Gallagher Premiership match vs Exeter Chiefs, Bears will be teaming up with their principal partner to offer prizes and giveaways as well as cheap tickets for kids.

On Saturday 22 October (Bears vs Worcester Warriors), ‘Community Foundation Day’ will see the club pay tribute to the Bristol Bears Community Foundation and the award-winning work that they carry out every day.
