Tomorrow: The Crofters Rights are hosting a huge Carnival-style day party

Posted on: 01 Jul 2022

Join some of the city's top party-starters in the absence of this year's St Pauls Carnival.

The Crofters Rights have confirmed a full lineup for a major Carnival-style event this weekend, taking over the Stokes Croft venue from 15:00 to 22:30 on Saturday 2 July.

Arriving on what would have been 2022's Carnival weekend, the all-day party has been organised in the absence of St Pauls Carnival itself, which was recently postponed for a second consecutive year.

A limited number of advance tickets for Crofters Carnival remain on sale at the time of writing, with a handful set to be made available on the door - find out more and get yours here.

Organised in honour of Bristol's biggest and best-loved street party, Crofters Carnival will feature an array of renowned local promoters and DJs.

A full day of music will kick off with celebrated party starters and record label Club Djembe, spinning everything from UK funky to bass, garage, dancehall, afro-house and more.

From there, the Durkle Disco team will take the reigns under their new See No Evil moniker, focussing on Amapiano, house and UK funky - get a taste of the See No Evil project here via SWU.fm.

Fast-rising DJ Yusuf Suave will be taking the reigns from 19:00 on behalf of fast-rising club night RepresentAsian, arriving off the back of a string of well-received appearances on 1020 Radio, Reprezent Radio and BBC Radio 1Xtra among others.

The inimitable Concrete Jungyals crew will be rounding off proceedings from 20:30 until Crofters Carnival's 22:30 close, showcasing a lineup of female and non-binary selectors and spanning a vibrant selection of genres and sounds.

Set up by a diverse group of women, Concrete Jungyals aim to create a safe space for female-identifying, non-binary, LGBTQ+ and POC to network, learn and share their creative talent without judgement. Read more about the project in LOUD Bristol Issue Three.

Advance tickets for Crofters Carnival, taking over The Crofters Rights on Saturday 2 July, can be found here.
