The Iranian-British funnyman is bringing his brand-new show to Clifton this Summer.

Celebrated standup and actor Omid Djalili will be taking the stage at The Redgrave Theatre on Thursday 7, Friday 8 and Saturday 9 July as part of a UK-wide tour.

Intelligent, provocative and entertaining in equal measure, Djalili has made a name for himself as a captivating and seasoned stand-up performer. Now, with a new show in tow, Bristol audiences can see what he’s all about.

Tickets for 'The Good Times Tour' at the renowned Clifton theatre can be found on the venue's website.

Born in London to Iranian parents, Djalili began as an experimental theatre actor in the Czech Republic before turning to comedy with a one-man show (‘Short, Fat Kebab Owner’s Son’) at The Edinburgh Fringe in 1995.

Djalili has since established himself as one of the UK’s best-loved comics, guest presenting BBC political quiz show Have I Got News For You, putting out two series' of The Omid Djalili Show (pictured below) on BBC One, and being voted as the 60th best stand-up comedian of all time by Channel 4 viewers in 2007.

In addition to his prestigious comedy career, Djalili has appeared in a number of films and television programmes.

Notable film credits include Gladiator, The Mummy, Notting Hill, and Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again with television appearances in Netflix’s The Letter for the King and BBC’s His Dark Materials.

Now, after experimenting with a Zoom gig where he got muted by 639 people amongst other experiments, Omid is back where he belongs with ‘The Good Times Tour’.

The multi-award-winning comedian is set to present a relatable and introspective look at the gloom of the last two years in this entertaining show.

As well as The Redgrave, Djalili will visit theatres in Hull, Birmingham, Cardiff, Aldershot, Aberdeen, Perth, Hastings, Redditch, Middlesbrough and London throughout 2022. Head to the comedian's website to find out more.
