The festival will be taking place across a selection of established and lesser-known Bristol venues in May.

Organisers have revealed a full programme for the imminent return of Bristol New Music festival, inviting a lineup of renowned live acts to perform across the city from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 May.

Having been unable to go ahead in 2020 due to coronavirus restrictions, the fourth edition of the biennial festival promises an adventurous sonic exploration of Bristol, spanning tried-and-tested venues as well as a handful of intimate pop-up performance spaces.

Weekend tickets for this year's Bristol New Music Festival promptly sold out after their lineup news landed, but you can get your hands on a few remaining day passes and individual event tickets here.

A matter of weeks after the confirmation that Bristol New Music would be making a comeback this summer, the festival team have returned with another vibrant musical lineup for attendees.

Talented Canadian artist Sarah Davachi has been confirmed for what's sure to be an unforgettable performance on the final day, while vocalist, producer and DJ Coby Sey will be appearing alongside the London Contemporary Orchestra.

Elsewhere, Glaswegian artists Helena Celle and Joanne Robertson will be providing experimental electronics and avant-garde femme-folk performances respectively.

Of course, Bristol artists are playing a pivotal role in this year's edition of Bristol New Music, with Tara Clerkin Trio, Viridian Ensemble and Surgeons Girl among those confirmed on the lineup, with the latter providing a live score to iconic silent horror flick, Nosferatu, at Spike Island.

Alongside some of the city's best-loved arts venues including St George's Bristol, Strange Brew and the Arnolfini, the festival will be taking over St Mary Redcliffe Church and Clifton Suspension Bridge Vaults for a series of one-of-a-kind live shows.
