Bristol’s St Patrick's Day Parade returns this Sunday 13 March 2022

With the parade, live music and a street party all scheduled, join the Bristol Irish society for a day jam-packed with festivities.

 

After a few years off due to COVID-19, the Bristol Irish Society will be holding its annual parade and street party on Sunday 13 March 2022.

 

Taking place from 13:00 to 18:00, the event will feature a full parade and street party as well as Irish live music and dance from local performers.

Everyone is welcome to come along and join the procession which departs from Trinity Centre in Old Market at 1pm on Sunday afternoon and heads towards the Old City for a Street party on St Nicholas Street outside Seamus O’Donnell’s as well as a ticketed event at Revolution Bar on the same road.

 

“We are looking forward to our St Patrick's Parade on Sunday 13 March 2022 after having to postpone the last 2 events due to Covid. Everyone is welcome so come along and wear green!” says Amelia Dunford, President of the Bristol Irish Society.

 

Live music is being provided by The Ceili Band, The Lilting Banshees, Luke Webb and Irish Dancing displays from Horizon School of Dance and Scoil  Rince Ceim Oir (Bristol).

 

Born and bred Bristolians, The Ceili Band will be providing popular songs with a lively Irish/Celtic twist while Lilting Banshees – resident band at Seamus O’Donnells - will be playing traditional Irish folk tunes. Luke Webb, a Traditional Irish Harpist, will complete the exciting lineup.

“Huge thanks to the committee and our sponsors including Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District who have ensured we will be having a huge parade this year.

 

“We'll be departing Trinity Centre at 1pm and heading to the Old City at 2pm for music, dancing, and lots of fun. We’ve even had Tayto’s delivered!”

 

Bristol Irish Society was formed in 1989 and have organised St. Patrick’s Day Parades in the city since 2000. Every year the Society present a brilliantly vibrant display with money regularly donated to a plethora of charities.
