Candlelight at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery

Enjoy some of the greatest soundtrack in the history of film at one of Bristol’s most iconic venues.

 

The work of some of Hollywood’s most brilliant musical minds – including Ennio Morricone and Hans Zimmer - will be performed at the Bristol Museum this week.

 

The event will take place this Wednesday (23 February) at 19:00, tickets can be purchased from the event page.

With a busy programme and beautiful setting, attendees can enjoy an intimate light in one of the city’s most impressive venues - all the while bathed in stunning candlelight.

 

A gifted string quartet (yet to be announced) will perform iconic movie soundtracks to a socially distanced audience, all the while surrounded by the impressive architecture of Bristol Museum and Art Gallery – lit up like you’ve never seen them before.

 

The night’s extensive programme includes performances of legendary tracks, including: 

 

‘Cinema Paradiso’ (Ennio Morricone), ‘Pink Panther’ (Henry Mancini), ‘The Good, The Bad & The Ugly’ (Ennio Morricone), ‘Moon River’ (Henry Mancini), ‘Skyfall’ (Adele), ‘Phantom of The Opera Main Theme’ (Andrew Lloyd Webber) and ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ amongst others.

 

This music will be brought to life in a sublime performance by organisers Fever, who have put on a host of ‘Candlelight’ concerts already: candlelit concerts performed by live musicians in some of Bristol’s most iconic venues.

Taking place at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery on 23 February between 19:00 and 21:00 with the concert lasting an hour and doors opening 30 minutes before the event begins.

 

The concert is suitable for children over the age of 8 but anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. 

 

Tickets for this ‘Candlelight’ event on Wednesday 23 February are £35.00 and can be found on the Fever website.

 

Bristol Museum & Art Gallery offers a range of accessibility services with level entry, a platform lift at the main entrance, adult-sized wheelchairs for loan, staff on all floors and wheelchair accessible toilets
