The production has received glowing reviews since its theatrical debut in 2021.

A stage adaptation of David Walliams' best-selling childrens' book Billionaire Boy is coming to the Bristol Hippodrome this year, showing at the historic city centre theatre from Wednesday 8 - Saturday 11 June.

The show comes from the award-winning West End producers of Horrible Histories and Walliams’ Gangsta Granny, and is due to have runs in various cities up and down the country as part of an extensive UK tour.

Tickets for the Bristol Hippodrome shows are on sale now and can be purchased here.

Billionaire Boy was originally published in 2010 as a children’s fiction book about a twelve-year named Joe Spud who is the richest boy in the country.

Joe has everything a kid could dream of, except a friend, and audiences are invited to join him as he begins to discover that there are some things money can't buy.

The book was an instant triumph, praised by respected publications and the public alike for its hilarious yet touching story. This success led to a BBC television adaptation starring Catherine Tate, Warwick Davis and Walliams himself.

The bestselling story will now be brought to life on stages all over the UK as a fun musical for all the family. Debuted last year, the stage adaptation has already received rave reviews with The Times describing it as “a rollicking show with big belly laughs”.

Showtimes for the run at Bristol Hippodrome Theatre are 19:00 on Wednesday 8 June, 13:30 and 19:00 on Thursday 9, 10:30 and 19:00 on Friday 10 and 14:30 and 19:00 on Saturday 11.

Tickets are available from £13 and can be found on the ATG website.

As well as Bristol, Billionare Boy will have runs in Aylesbury, Manchester, Woking, Sunderland, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, York and Edinburgh.

Billionaire Boy is not the only exciting production coming up at the Bristol Hippodrome in 2022. Bedknobs and Broomsticks, The Lion King, The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe and School of Rock are just a few of the other brilliant family shows on offer this year.
